After leaving the 9-to-5 grind in 2010, Chris pursued his passion for kiteboarding full-time. With a wealth of knowledge, a fun and positive attitude, and endless patience, Chris has found his calling in teaching and operating Leading Edge Kite School.

Locations for Kiteboarding Lessons
Ocean City, New Jersey
Chris starts you off with the basics on the beach, focusing on kite flying and safety. From Lesson #2 onward, the adventure takes to the water, with lessons conducted from skiff boats in the calm, protected bay area—perfect for learning!
St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
In St. Croix, you’ll meet Chris on the beach with all the gear you need. The beach’s ideal side-on wind conditions and natural crescent shape provide the perfect setting for a safe and enjoyable kiteboarding experience.
Outer Banks, North Carolina
The Outer Banks offers vast stretches of waist-deep water, perfect for all levels of kiteboarders, from beginners to advanced riders. With plenty of space to practice and steady winds, this spot is ideal for mastering new skills and enjoying the thrill of kiteboarding in a beautiful setting.

Kite Camps: An Unforgettable Experience
St. Croix Kite Camps
Join us this season for an incredible kite camp in the warm, crystal-clear waters of St. Croix! Our camps run from December through March, a period known for its consistent winds day and night. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to sharpen your skills, these camps offer a unique blend of adventure, relaxation, and camaraderie.
Outer Banks, Cape Hatteras, NC Kite Camps
We’re also hosting kite camps in the scenic Outer Banks, NC. Meet new friends or bring your own group and experience the thrill of kiteboarding in this world-renowned destination. This year’s camps are scheduled for:
