Kiteboarding Lessons with Tyler Spence at Stoke Riders
Welcome to Stoke Riders! I’m Tyler Spence, an IKO-certified kiteboarding instructor dedicated to providing top-notch training with local expertise and premium equipment. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I offer a range of kiteboarding lessons to suit your needs.
Level 1 – Ground School: 2-3 Hours
In this introductory course, we’ll cover everything you need to start kiteboarding. You’ll spend time flying the kite, familiarizing yourself with the gear, and reviewing essential safety protocols. By the end, you’ll have a solid understanding of wind theory, the wind window, and how to launch and land the kite independently.
Our Kiteboarding Packages
- LEVEL 1 PACKAGE (Beginner) – 3 Hours: Perfect for those new to kiteboarding, focusing on the basics and getting you started.
- LEVEL 1 & 2 PACKAGE (Intermediate) – 6 Hours: For those who want to build on their foundational skills and start intermediate techniques.
- LEVEL 1, 2 & 3 PACKAGE (Independent) – 9 Hours: Comprehensive training to advance your skills and become an independent kiteboarder.
- E-FOIL LESSONS: Explore the thrill of e-foiling with personalized instruction.
- 1-HOUR KITEBOARDING LESSON: A single session to focus on specific skills or refresh your knowledge.
- SNOW KITING LESSONS (3 Hours): Take kiteboarding to the snow with our specialized snow kiting lessons.
- E-FOIL RENTAL: Rent top-quality e-foil equipment for your own adventures.
- KITE REPAIRS: Professional kite repair services to keep your gear in top shape.
Lesson Breakdown
- Level A: Identify safe wind directions and conditions. Set up and handle a trainer kite. Use safety systems correctly.
- Level B:Basic flying skills with a trainer kite. Launch and land the kite with assistance. Manage kite lines and wind window usage.
- Level C: Set up and check a 4/5 line kite with a de-power system. Perform pre-flight and in-flight equipment checks. Use international communication signals for kiteboarding.
- Level D: Control the kite hooked into the harness. Understand and use the de-power and safety systems. Demonstrate advanced flying skills with a de-power kite.
- Level E: Perform self-landing. Recover the bar and kite efficiently.
